dc.description.abstractIntegrated use of surface and subsurface water resour- ced is necessary to meet the growing need of the country. Planned and economical utilization of surface and ground water resources has assumed added importance due to limited resources. Planning and optimal use of available water re-sources requires, detailed knowledge on hydrology and aquifer parameters. A hydrological water budget was prepared with the help of water balance equation hence the volume of avai-lable ground water resource is assessed in such a way to avoid unwanted side affects. In order to develop, a future crop plan which is eco-nomically feasible and socially acceptable with full utili-zation of the available resources a linear programming model was formulated to maximize the economical efficiency sub-j,ected to resources and sociological constraints, and an optimal solution has been reached...en_US
