| Abstract: | This work is an attempt to prepare a state of art paper for grouting of alluvial foundations of earth dam. Effort has been made to include the latest literature cnd experience gained by skilled persons. The compilation and systematic presentation has been made for coarse and fine stable grouts in the order of their use+ in the field. It has covered also the historical back ground of the injection process starting from 18th century onwards.
