dc.description.abstractGates are indislerisible hydro-mechanical component of any hydraulic structure. Eventhough cost of the gates constitute a low percentage of the total project cost, but fail-safe operation of these components is vital for suesessful fuction of thehydraulic structure, therefore it is important to design the gate carefully. Manual design of the gate is time consuming and involves a lot of trial and tedious computations. By computer program all of these objections can be ignored, and design of the gate can he completed expeditiously. Based on above reasons, the author has prepared the package program for designing of radial gates in sufficient detail so as to facilitate the gate designers in rriving at an economical design which can be completed in a short time.....en_US
