dc.description.abstractThe thesis deals with the analysis of skew plates by Moire' Fringe method. Moments have been calculated in a plate having two opposite edges simply supported and other two free, for various positions of concentrated load. The results obtained have been compared with those obtained by finite difference method. The test results have been processed through a computer programme to obtain moment distribution along desired sections. The various experimental details arrived at after various trials have been given with reference to photo-grahie materials available in India.en_US
