Authors: Ingle, Ajay P.
Keywords: WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT;COMPUTER AIDED GAMING SIMULATION;MAIN CANAL OPERATION;IRRIGATION SYSTEM
Issue Date: 1988
Abstract: Computer aided gaming simulation is emerging as an important tool for taking on-time decisions and hence gaining knowledge by trying different options on the computer. It can also be used for imparting tramming to personnel engaged in managment of irrigation systems. The present study envisages to develop a computer aided simulation game for main canal operation by identifying simulation areas, devel'opirig some basic data processing programmes and above all preparing the game. In this dessertation an attempt has been made to develop computer aided simulation, game for main canal operation, with the help of data available for reservoir based irrigation project. After identifying different areas and components of simulation game ,four modules incorporating subroutines for basic data processing have been developed The outcomes of present games serves as input to U.S.U. hydrodynamic model....
