Manifold growth of Power System and interconnection of grids An recent times have led to drastic changes in design practices of generating equipments and control systems, and operating conditions.. Alongside has been the development of efficient evaluating tools for the complex phenomena of stability-of power system. Importance of Dynamic Stability studies, synonymous with small disturbance stability is being increasingly realised in the design and planning of power system. Eigenvalue techniques have been widely used in the dynamic stability studies. These studies especially those for optimal parameter setting, require large computer time and memory due to large order of matrices involved. Eigenvalue sensitivities have been used to reduce both computer time and memory. In this dissertation, dynamic stability of a large power system has been analysed by eigenvalues 'method. For this required linear state space model for the system or simply A matrix has been developed by matrix method. The matrix method is well suited for digital -implementation and sensitivity analysis......en_US
