Abstract: | All new pulp and paper facilities use primarily hydrocyclone separators in their pulp slurry cleaning systems. Generally design variations to optimize pulp processing for some special purposes are used to a limited extent. For considering the application of a cleaner, the system and not the individual cleaner should be the basis for an evaluation. In order to reduce reject rate and to produce clean pulp , substantial saving in power, number of units, pump size, space, fiber loss, and other factors must be realized. It is observed that , the sensible approach for production results in a compromise, a balance between capital investment, energy cost, space requirement, and cleaning efficiency. To ascertain the most efficient cleaning systems in a mill, all of use variables must be considered. The performance of the hydrocyclone depends on the various factors such as properties of fibers and contaminants to be removed, operation consistency, reject rate, pressure difference etc. The present study aim at evaluating the effect of all operating parameters to optimize the efficiency of cleaner for reducing the fiber loss and improving the paper quality through cascade cleaner system. Effect of addition of Fibermizer on reduction rate and quality improvement , final stage for fiber recovery is also studied. |
