dc.description.abstractThe present study is intended to generate the base line data on socioeconomic conditions, in Salawa Command , Out of 29 villages under command, a sample of 9 villages was randomly drawn for the study. Out of 9. villages, 3 villages each (in a cluster) in head, middle and tail reaches were selected of the Debthua distributary. After listing the farmers, a sample of 75 farmers was randomly selected giving due consideration to different size of holdings i.e. 3- from marginal, 22 from small, 10 from medium and 9 from large categories of famers.en_US
