Lowlying areas are subject to flooding from the overflow of rivers during flood time and from the run-off of adjacent areas. This is usually found on the lower part of large rivers, areas near the mouth of large rivers or near the sea subject to either continuous submergence or to submergence during high tides. These areas in general are formed of potentially productive land With high fertility and thus they have a high potential for agri-culture especially of rice. In the various lowlying areas, recla-mation corks have been executed in different ways depending on natural conditions, land utilization etc.en_US
