Issue Date: 1984
Abstract: Mathematical models are now-a-days being extensively used for simulating groundwater flow. Out of the various types of mathematical models, Tyson and i4ober model has been adopted for the present study which has been calibrated for a period of three years from October, 1980 to October, 1983. The study area covers an area of 42699 ha. Surface irri-gation supplies to the area are provided through loft Salawa distributory and its brarichis. Left Salawa distributory takes off from Upper Ganga canal at a chainage of 107.2 km. Ground water is also utilised substantially for irrigation purpose through a largo numbers of private tube wells, state tube wells etc.
