The Elastic theories of Prismatic Struct-, ures are reviewed and evaluated. The methods due to Gaafar, Tetzlaff, Yitzhak' and Goldberg and Leve are discussed in detail. A study of the effect of Span-Depth Ratio on the behaviour of the section and of having repeti-tive folds is accomplished with the help of IBM 1620 Digital Computer at S.E.R.C:, Roorkee. Interesting results are reported which open the door to more exten-sive investigations needed in this virgin area of the field. A comprehensive bibliography is appended which will serve .as a useful reference to other invest. igators in the field. This is of special significance in view of the research project on Prismatic Structures planned by Prof. 0.P. Jain at this University.en_US
