Abstract: Due to Qast increase in population in the country, it is nocossary to incrQaso the agriculture production. Irrigation is one of the most important input for raising agricultural production. As water rosources of India ar© limited and to maintain soil fertility there is utmost need for efficient use of irrigation water. In the prevailing situation water use efficiency in Our country is very low. The snags and problems of the irri-gatian systems are of its kind in nature and are location specific. Hence on farm studios arc necessary to identify the problems and remedial moasuros. With a view to identify those problems study of con-voyanco and field irrigation efficiency determination was taken up in left Salawa Cr'3nu Area.
