Improvement of Irrigation- water distribution is very important aspect to increase water use efficiency. In the existing water distribution system for the Janjokhar minor of Salawa Command, too much water is wasted, farmers get water . irrespective to the crop water re quire rr nt. Water is allocated according to lard holding size. Farmers fill their fields without knowing the crop water requirement, this results is loss of precious water and also in decreasing the fertility of land. Water balance study conducted for the area, has indicated that area is deficit in water and improvements at field, water course and in minor are called for. Even than the water would not be adequate and conjunctive use of surface and ground water is justified.en_US
