dc.description.abstract | Water supply facility once introduced in a community would have a capacity which can supply water fora certain rate of demand:. When the community grows bigger the capacity expan-sion of water supply system is needed, as this facility has become a basic necessity. Specifically in developing countries, provision of water supply facilities is needed as development schemes in their national development plans;. When capacity expansion scheme of water supply is existing among other deve-lopment schemes, the scarcity of funds is the major obstacle and so it calls for optimal scale in capacity expansion and its timing feasibility. In this dissertation, models for optimal solution of investment scale and timing in capacity expansion of water supply system are developed. They are made as much realistic and suitable as possible to planning situations existing in developing countries such as Thailand-.... | en_US |
