Abstract: Carbon has different allotropes, i.e., graphite, diamond, grapheme , fullerene, nanotubes etc. Except this it has also a wide variety of dimensionality from 0 to 3D and it can exists in different forms such as powder, fibers, foams, fabrics and composites. Due to these various types of characteristics carbon material has become a more attractive material in Electro-chemical applications, specially for the energy storage purpose. During recent years application of carbon as electrode material is drawing attention to the most of the researchers and scientists. It's only because of their accessibility, an easy process ability and relatively low cost. According to chemical stability carbon materials are highly stable within a range from highly acidic to basic solution and they also can perform in a wide range of temperature. By using different chemical and physical methods carbon material is being transformed with a developed surface area and a controlled distribution of pores that determine the electrode-electrolyte interface for electrochemical applications
