Abstract:	2218 type Aluminum alloy was prepared by using indigenously available raw materials . This alloy was sub3 eat ed to Thermo-mechanical treatment comprising of varying amounts of preageing and deformation. It was observed that maxim hardness and tensilestrength were obtained with 60 pat. preageing treatment followed by 20 pct. deformation
