Abstract: Kinetics of high temperature oxidation of zinc, 90.Th puro, both in air and oxy,on have been carried out at teavrnturea, 3000 C, 3500 and 40000 using ODA LABOR single pan balance having oonaitivity as 10.4 GU. Analysis of experimental data reveals that the rate laws for the oxidation of zinc to air at 30400, 35000 and 40000 !allowed the logarithmic lay of the forma a 11 J-o810(K2f + K3) Uhere X, X2 and Xj are constants. Si tezporature was reseed, the values of these constants iucreaaeu, suggesting thet the rate of oxidation of zinc was enhroced as tem, ernture of oxidation was increased. Oxidation 'of zinc in oxygen for temperatures 3000C and 35000 followed a logarithmic rate law of the fora mentioned above with the aimilrr bohaviour of constants K1, K2 and 5 i.e., the volaee of thee constants increased as the tempere-tune of oxidation was rained from the lower vnluoo to thrt of higner ones. But, at 40000 the rate law are parabolic of the
