|Abstract:||We have studied all the theoretical and practical aspect of Solar Cell with special emphasis on crystalline silicon. Crystalline silicon solar cells almost completely dominate worldwide solar-cell production. Excellent stability and reliability plus continuous development in cell structure and processing. The tendency is to develop a cheap, good quality solar grade polysilicon feedstock material, increase the substrate size, reduce the kerf loss in slicing, and decrease the thickness of substrates below 200 micro meters. The majority of commercial solar-cell manufactured using the first-generation screen-printing processes. The process simplicity, equipment durability, and high throughput are the main advantages of the screen-printing process. Cell efficiencies, however, are generally below 15%. Incorporating high efficiency features like passivity surfaces, selective• emitter, and fine-line printed contacts with a low line and contact resistance into the screen-printing cell structure has significantly improved cell performance while keeping the advantages of process simplicity and high throughput and yield. The lowest cost is obtained for cells fabricated on siliconsheets and multi crystalline wafers using screen-printing technology. We have found out Open Circuit Voltage, Short circuit Current, Maximum Power, Fill factor and Efficiency of Solar Cell. A program to calculate Efficiency is prepared using C++ language and matlab Script to Perform a Simulation. Spectral Response (SR) Measurement of Solar Cell was performed. This help in measurements provide information about diffusion length, dead layer thickness, short circuit current density.|
