Abstract: In the present work we have reported Structural and Electrical Characterization of PZT (65/35) and PLZT (8/65/35), prepared by chemical co-precipitation method. The unique effects of adding P205 on PLZT ceramic with composition Pbo.92 Lao.08 (Zro.65Tio.35)03 +x wt.%P205, (where x=1,3, and 5 ) are also found. X-ray diffraction studies suggest that the prepared compounds are very fine (10-30 nm) and homogeneous. It also shows the presence of pyrochlore phase in P205 doped samples. The apparent density of the samples decreases with the doping of P+ ion, which can also be confirmed from Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Studies of dielectric constant and loss as a function of frequency (10-1000KHz) and temperature suggest that the compound under goes diffuse type phase transition without any sign of relaxor behavior. With increasing x, dielectric constant is found to decrease appreciably where Curie temperature (Tc) as determined from dielectric constant vs temperature plots increased.
