Title: PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF DOPED PMN RELAXOR FERROELECTRICS
Authors: Sharma, Yogesh Kumar
Keywords: PHYSICS;DOPED PMN;RELAXOR FERROELECTRICS;PMN RELAXOR
Issue Date: 2004
Abstract: In the present work, the PMN (Lead Magnesium Niobate) Relaxor ferroelectrics have been synthesized. A lot of attempts were made to reduce the pyrochlore phase from the PMN and solid solution of PMN-PT by using different preparation methods and sintering condition. In the present work numerous attempts were made to see the effect of excess PbO and/or MgO on the microstructure development and dielectric properties of 0.8PMN-0.2PT. The excess amount used was lwt.% of each (PbO/MgO). The samples were characterized for phase identification by XRD using X-ray diffractometer (Model: PW-1140/90), microstructure analysis by SEM (Model: LEO 435 VP) and dielectric constant by LC meter (Model: 1405)
