Mechanical Agitated tank is used in all Chemical, Biological, Waste water tank Treatment and all mineral processing industries. So the design of Agitated reactor is a challenging task for the proper mixing of different-2 phase substance. An impotent factor for design of an agitated tank is suspension speed. This is a speed at which all solid particles are lifted from the bottom. It is also known as the critical speed for suspension. In this research paper I show the first experimental analysis and then CFD analysis in 2-D and compared the experimental and numerical results. We have also done the theoretical analysis on the basis of Deslae et al. (2006) formula for minimum suspension speed and theatrically also find out the terminal speed in turbulent flow. For performing the Experimental analysis first design the experimental set-up on the basis of some conclusion of research. paper related to the selection of propeller and off-Bottom clearance and with the help of dimensional analysis we have select the height, width. Thickness of the cylinder. It consist of a cylindrical tank containing the solid liquid mixture with Baffles mounted at the periphery of cylinder and a propeller is rotated at the suspension speed in the centre of the cylinder with the help of AC motor mounted at the below of the tank and Power is transferred from the motor to the propeller with help of the coupling and a mechanical seal is provided to stopping the leakage of water from the tank. .Experiment has been conducted by using the different size propeller and by using the different size sand particle by varying their concentration. The concentration of sand shown graphically with respect to the distance from the bottom and from experimentally we have analyses at lower speed maximum amount of sand settled down at the bottom of cylinder and when we increase the speed of the propeller than sand lifted above the bottom that's why at higher speed concentration of above holes is higher than holes that are closer to bottom.en_US
