dc.description.abstract | A software has been developed, which can virtually replace a band of bulky electromagnetic relays. The software package is designed for use, as the protection relaying system of 125 KVA. Syn. Generator of A.H.E.C., Roorkee. The programs are written in the advanced version of 'BASIC' language, "GW BASIC" and datafiles are created in NE (Norton Editor) software package compatible with IBM PC. The main programme,"Generator Protection System" cons-is of six sub-programmes, namely (a) "Status Scan" (b) Fault Display" (c) "Relay Ladder Logic" (d) "Fault Relay Status Check" (e) "Check For UVR and TPU Relay" and (f) "Main String Continuity Check". The developed software is tested in the IBM PC, by taking various input values for the normal as well as fault conditions. The performance of the results are satisfactory. Further, it is proposed to develop the hardware for interfacing the PC with the real system. | en_US |
