Authors: Mohapatra, J.
Keywords: WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT;STABLE CHANNEL;ALLUVIUM;ALLUVIAL CHANNELS
Issue Date: 1972
Abstract: The problem of design of stable channels in Alluvium has been the object of considerable research since Kennedy first published his design principles in 1895. In this dissertation an attempt has been made to analyse the various regime theories in the light of available knowledge of field, laboratory and theoretical correlations, to bring out their relative merits and their limitations in design of alluvial channels. A design procedure is recommended.
