Solar wind power plant is a simple, efficient and economical means of harnessing and converting the solar energy into the mechanical or electrical energy. The basic concepts, principle of operation and feasibility of the plant have been analysed. The analytical investigations has been carried out to find out the main dimensions of the plant with any given installed capacity. Based on these studies a design procedure for designing a small 10 kW solar wind power plant has been carried out. The effect of various system parameters on power output has been analysed also. Finally the economic analysis of the system has been carried out to determine the total cost of installation of the plant, -- spec"ific —instatlation- -cost--and unit energy production cost with the two different collector materials for various plant capacities. All these investigations have been done with the help of a systematic computer programming at all the stages and finally the main conclusions have been taken out.en_US
