Abstract: In the present study an attempt has been made to investigate the physicochemical features of springs and to detect the nature of subsurface fractures using VLF method in southern and south-western Dabka watershed, located towards north-west of Nainital. Physicochemical studies including chemical analyses of the spring water samples have been done. VLF method was used to delineate the nature of sub-surface fractures near springs. If the fractures can be detected the nature of subsurface water flow can be established. Anomaly along a profile in southern part of Dabka microwatershed have been found that indicates subsurface fracture or a water conductive body.
