GEOLOGY OF THE AREA AROUND SOHNA, DISTRICT GURGAON, HARYANA

Abstract

The present work attempts to give a concise account of the field and laboratory investigation carried out during the session 1966-67 in the Sohna region, Distt. Gurgaon. After completing general mapping on 2" to a mile scale, 6 sectors were selected and studied for detailed structural studies. An attempt to study the petrofabrics b*s also been made. The vastness of the area dnd the time limitation has, however$ restricted the scope of more detailed work. It is hoped that present investigations will create a firm base for unravelling the various unsolved features of structure and lithology of the area.
