Abstract: With the increase of population in city Aden, it is necessary to have more drinking water to meet the demand. This necessiates large ground water development in the Upper Tuban Delta aquifer. Excessive groundwater development may lead to an excessive lowering of watertable which would result in high cost of pumping. Hence optimal use of groundwater development has to be planned & implemented. For optimal use and its planning it is necessary to predict the behaviour of the aquifer under various developmental strategies. The present work is an attempt to analyse all available hydrogeological and geo-electrical data of the Upper. Tuban Delta. The available lithological, resistivity log and the pumping test data have been interpreted. Thus, the integrated picture of the hydrogeological conditions of the area is summerized. The data so generated were used to calibrate an aquifer response model of the area. Subsequently the model was employed to predict the aquifer response under various ground water development strategies in Upper Tuban Delta.
