The aim of the present work undertaken, was to know some fundamental insight to understand the performance of an evapora-tor coil under frosting condition. Desired wooden duct, test section and tray were designed constructed, instrumentation was done and experiments were performed. A simplified analysis incorporating a new dimensionless number _eDo and Reynolds number, Re , is recommended P s and varified. The empirical predictions are well within 6.5% of the actual expbrimental results.en_US
