Title: ANALYSIS OF HYDRODYNAMIC FULL, JOURNAL BEARING BY FINITE ELEMENT TECHNIQUE USING WEIGHTED RESIDUAL METHOD
Authors: Sharma, T. G.
Keywords: MECHANICAL & INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING;WEIGHTED RESIDUAL METHOD;JOURNAL BEARING;FINITE ELEMENT TECHNIQUE
Issue Date: 1975
Abstract: In this thesis Reynolds equation has been solved by Finite Element Technique using Galerkin's method. A computer software has been developed for calculating pressure distributio;,load bearing capacity, Sommerfeld number, friction coefficient parameter, oil flow and temp-eratur e rise pare~neter, for full journal bearings. The analysis is general and can be applied to other types of hydrodynamic bearings.
