Issue Date: | 1987 |
Abstract: | The purpose of this project is to study in detail the Transfer-function method of calculating cooling loads and to develope a computer programme for the calculation of energy requirements of a cooling system in a building. In Chapter 1, need for developing a computer programme, and objectives, of computerised methods have been reported. Chapter 2 deals with the literature survey carried out for existing established methods and also for other computerised methods recently developed. It also consists a review of computer programmes used for air conditioning load calculations. In Chapter 3, the methodology of the hour-by-hour load calculations by the Transfer function method is discussed. Chapter 4 contains three illustrative examples to verify the logic of FORTRAN-IV programme. Detailed computer programme alongwith relevant subroutines for airconditioning load calculations have been reported in Chapter 5. iii iv Chapter 6 deals with the execution of computer programme by generating a problem of single storey coaching center building to be airconditioned. Brief calculation procedures for TETD, CLTD and TF methods have also been included. Chapter 7 consists of the results obtained•from TETD, CLTD and TF methods. A comparative study has also been made for the results obtained for various methods along with their interpretation... |
