Abstract: This dissertation work entitled Q1EFF,ECT OF VENTILAUON OF SPACE BETWEEN ROOF AND FALSE CEILING ON AIRCXDNDI TZONING LOAD'S is an attempt towards energy conservation'. It is a theoretical v rk based on the assumptions and known expressions. False roofing is generally provided in large air.-conditioning rooms for ducting and for reducing the echo of sound in various applications. If the space between roof and false ceiling is ventilated by outside air, a certain portion of the roof load may be carried away by this air due to the convective heat transfers between roof and air. This results in the reduction of cooling load requirements, Investigation about the reduction in this load at different values of parameters is carried out. The parameters are the air—velocity, angle of inclination of the roof, length of the roof and time, It is shown that a considerable saving of the load due to solar radiation from the roof may be expected.
