Power Flow analysis is very important and basic tool for the analysis of any power system, as it is used for planning and design as well as for monitoring the system conditions during the operation. Nowadays the number of distributed generators (DG) being integrated in to the distribution system has increased due to the open access to the power grid due to Restructuring, technical and economical benefits. Hence the distribution system is no longer a single source system. Thus there has to be a change in strategy for distribution analysis. This would require a fast power flow solution with DG. Having abundant wind energy, some countries like India the prominent Distribution Generating source is wind. When these Wind Turbine Generating Units (WTGUs) are connected to distribuioni system, their impact on the system calls for a detailed analysis in order to have better operation and planning of the system. This report presents a distribution load flow for distribution systems containing WTGUs. Since most of the established wind generators are fixed speed induction generators only hereafter those are considered for analysis. The developed algorithm is tested on different single phase and three phase IEEE 13 bus systems. The effect of wind speed variation on system losses and voltage profile can be 11. simulated by using this algorithm. The results presented in this report ensure the same. As the algorithm is capable, of solving weakly meshed systems, the approach is of significant 11: use in analysis of practical distribution systems. The Proposed' approach is very useful for the designing the system in best possible manner, reconfiguration(planning) and better operation. The approach is very significant for. the new trends like skiart grid, micro grid and real time pricing.en_US
