dc.description.abstract | Maintenance activities are predominantly manual and complex in nature. Effective working of any maintenance organisation requires a high level of co-ordination between different departments and therefore calls for formal communication between different organs. The work reported in this dissertation was undertaken to analyse the maintenance system used in the forward repair echelons of Indian Armed Forces. System compatible document package has been designed to satisfy the management information needs. This package envisages to bridge the information gaps found in the prevailing management-information-system and result into better control of maintenance activities in the field workshops. | en_US |
