Title: APPLICATION OF ORTHOGONAL FUNCTIONS FOR COMPUTER RELAYING AND MEASUREMENT
Authors: Singh, Kamlesh Kumar
Keywords: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING;ORTHOGONAL FUNCTIONS;COMPUTER RELAYING;VLSI TECHNOLOGY
Issue Date: 1991
Abstract: Protection of Power system components has always beena challenging problem due to the inherent requirements of high reliability and fast operation of the protective equipment. These requirements are often conflicting because high relia-bility calls for relatively simple hardware, whereas fast operation may require more computational speed which necessitates complicated hardware. However, with the advent of VLSI technology these requirements are being reconciled more and moresuccess-fully, and exciting new possibilities in the area of protectiOn systems are opening up.Protection of Power system components has always beena challenging problem due to the inherent requirements of high reliability and fast operation of the protective equipment.
