Title: STUDY OF THE FACTORS AFFECTING THE LIMITING WIDTH OF CUT IN TURNING
Authors: Singh, Sarjeet
Keywords: MECHANICAL & INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING;TURNING;LIMITING WIDTH;FACTORS AFFECTING
Issue Date: 1979
Abstract: In this thesis, the limit widths of cut in turning have been determined at different spindle speeds, feeds, diameter, tool wear, over-hang, coolant. The results of this investigation indicate that there is considerable influence of the feed, speed,, diameter, tool wear on the limit width of cut. This aspect has to be taken into account in developing a comprehensive testing ~proc-edure in the dynamic acceptance test for .lathes,.
