Abstract: Design of New runners of water turbines possessing still better energy and cavitation properties at given speci-fic speeds, remains the main task of Hydro Turbine Engineer. The present study is aimed , at obtaining, a detailed calcula-tion for the design of a blade system for a Kaplan Runner. The adopted method is based on the available rich research experience and recommendations of Leningrad Metal Works (one of the largest Turbine Manufacturing Plants of the World) and that of other institutes of U.S.S.R.
