| Abstract: | India's construction industry is the second largest emitter of greenhouse gases after the industrial sector, accounting for about 35% of the country's annual greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs). 75% of the energy used in the construction industry is used in residential buildings. Over time, the total energy consumption of residential buildings has increased significantly. According to estimates, it is likely to reach 630 to 940 TWh by 2032. This sharp increase in the amount of energy used in residential buildings is due to several factors, including the increasing use of air conditioning systems based on decentralized rooms. Housing for comfort thermal. With the increase in household income, the demand for air conditioning will continue to expand exponentially and due to the increase in energy consumption, it will eventually overtake all other sources of greenhouse gas emissions in the country. A quick energy saving action plan is required in this situation. |
