Abstract: Natural catastrophes like floods and earthquakes have always been a problem because they put human lives in danger and create structural damage. Rescue efforts during a disaster will be more challenging and delayed if structures like bridges connecting two places are destroyed. To deal with such disasters, we must create a new rescue system. Time is of the essence while trying to save lives and restore the earlier life cycle, so we must think about how to repair a damaged structure or how to develop a new form of rescue system as quickly as possible when a tragedy strikes. This circumstance prompts study and development of emergency deployable bridges to maximise overall strength and ratio while being useful in catastrophe rescue operations. One of deployable bridges is Bailey bridge. In this study, Numerical analysis of bailey bridge is to be done and check the deflections, axial stresses, buckling mode shapes. The study aim is to enhance the capacity of Bailey Bridge of moving higher load classes. For the analysis of bailey bridge, Staad Pro Connect Edition software is used which is based on Matrix Method. For the purpose of capacity enhancement, an additional arch and External Post-tensioning is done and analyse the strength, stiffness and stability parameters.
