Security has become a major concern to grant protected communication. between. mobile nodes in an unfriendly environment. Mobile Ad Hoc Networks might be unprotected against attacks by malicious nodes. In this work, we provide an efficient and secure routing for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks so that we can secure our communication against the attacks performed by malicious nodes. To provide secure communication between. mobile nodes, we have integrated IPSec suite with the AODV routing protocol called IPSec-AODV. The performance of IPSec-AODV has been compared with respect to AODV. The IPSec has also been integrated with DSR and LANMAR. An analysis has been performed to fmd out the routing protocol that works efficiently with the IPSec suite. All the simulation tasks for providing secure routing are carried out on the QualNet .. simulator version 4.5. It has been analyzed that to further improve the performance of routing, the delay caused due to IPSec can be eliminated by providing encryption to the data communicating between the devices used typically in MANET. These devices have low computation capability, so they require a light weight encryption algorithm to transmit secure streaming data over the network. For that, we have also provided a light weight encryption algorithm for streaming data.en_US
