With the growing adoption of the Internet of Things, many security vulner abilities of IoT systems have come into the picture. One of these is called Version Number(VN) attack [1], in which a malicious node simply stops send ing data to the other nodes and starts hogging up the network. This research work proposes a novel method to detect such kind of nodes efficiently. We also compare the results with the already proposed algorithm, the Shield algorithm.en_US
