| Abstract: | The Internet of Things (IoT) and ambient intelligence (AmI) have enabled medical personnel to take care of patients remotely. Additionally, the AmI-IoT integration has improved patient involvementand satisfaction because it has improved contact withdoctors. Despitethesead vantages, the adversarial threats prevent healthcare applications based on the AmI-IoT from realizing their full potential. There exist a lot of symmetric and asymmetric authentication techniques for open wireless networks. Since duplicating, dropping, and manipulating mes sages in an open wireless network is simpler, we must guarantee that our protocol takes all necessary security precautions. This study suggests an "Enhanced authentication protocol for Ambient Intelligence (AmI)" to secure from such possible attacks thereby preserving its privacy. Through the prevention of unauthorized access and the preservation of user privacy, this protocol aims to provide users with safe and confidential authentication while accessing IoT devices in AmI. The suggested protocol enables efficient and safe user authentication by combining public-key cryptography, symmetric encryption, hash functions and cutting edge blockchain concepts. This protocol’s performance was assessed using simulation tests and the findings revealed that it is more secure, private and computationally efficient than the existing authentication techniques. Overall, the suggested protocol offers a dependable option for secure and private user authentication in IoT AmI contexts, making it appropriate for a range of IoT applications. |
