Calculations on Lagowski-Noolandi polymer chain model

Abstract

In this thesis, we study the semiflexible continuous chain model proposed by Lagowski and Noolandi. The model is solved by normal mode analysis to look into the chain dynamics. We calculate numerically the eigenvalues and see graphically the behaviour of the eigenfunctions. A broader goal is to explore modeling the crowded environment within the model.
