Metal-Free Synthesis of Benzylidene-dihydro-pyrazol-ones and Benzoxazine-2-ones

Abstract

A variety of functionalized benzylidene-dihydro-pyrazol-ones were synthesized under metal free conditions from benzaldehyde and its derivatives. Benzoxazine-2-one and its derivatives have also been synthesized via the reaction of o-aminophenols with acetylene dicarboxylates in satisfactory yields. These reactions provide an efficient route for the synthesis of heterocycles with potential pharmaceutical activities.
