Abstract: Microalgae is thought to be the most environmentally friendly approach due to its high productivity, nutrient cycling, and nutritional advantages for the production of Omega 3 fatty acids and biofuels. These factors make microalgae the most desirable and appealing choice. The work focuses on techniques for lipid separation and extraction employing hypotonic osmotic shock and urea encapsulation. The findings indicated that the second method of urea encapsulation produced a larger percentage of EPA than the first method—21.53942 against 12.18412%. Additionally, the lipid yield and EPA concentration in the osmotic sample were both markedly improved by adding NaCl to the extraction mixture. These results imply that the confluence of hypotonic osmotic shock and three-phase partitioning can be successful for lipid extraction from microalgae and could benefit the development of microalgal products with added value.to find the best way to approach this we are exploring the methods for the separation and extraction of the lipids.
