Abstract: Perovskite semiconductors are emerging materials known for their wide range of properties and applications. As organic semiconductors, they can be easily fabricated in laboratories, with single crystals containing low defects and grain boundaries produced at low temperatures. While significant research has been conducted on polycrystalline perovskite thin films and their applications, these films tend to have high defects and grain boundaries, making them less efficient and reliable. To overcome these limitations, it is necessary to develop high-quality, defect-free single crystals. This thesis focuses on the synthesis of MAPbBr3 single crystals, their carrier dynamics, and their application in photodetectors. The goal of this study is to investigate the synthesis of high-quality MAPbBr3 single crystals using ITC method and analyse their carrier dynamics using various techniques, such as impedance and modulus spectroscopy. The photodetector application of the synthesized single crystals will also be studied by evaluating their performance in terms of responsivity, detectivity, and stability. The results of this study will contribute to the understanding of the key properties of halide perovskites and its potential applications in photodetection.
