The current status of sanitation and hygiene in rural India is explored, and the challenges and opportunities for improvement are identified in this design thesis. It is found through research that lack of community engagement and education on the importance of proper hygiene practices is one of the major challenges to improving sanitation and hygiene in rural India. Therefore, a design solution is proposed that aims to build interactive community interaction for better education, information, and communication towards sanitation and hygiene. The proposed solution includes a mobile application that provides users with informa tion and resources related to sanitation and hygiene practices. The application also features interactive elements, such as quizzes, games, and social sharing, to encour age community engagement and participation.en_US
