HOSTEL MANAGEMENT APPLICATION

Abstract

This thesis report presents the development of a hostel management app intended to simplify the process of onboarding and managing hostel accommodations. The app's goal is to provide users with a simple and efficient way to search for, book, and manage hostel accommodations. The report goes over the market research that was done to determine user needs and preferences, the design process, and the app's design implementation using modern software development tools and techniques. The app includes features such as announcement and notifications for users, user’s profile, complaint portal, complaint tracking system, important contact details to give users easy access to all the information he/she need in hostel. The app also includes a dashboard for hostel supervisors/managers to manage their properties, view booking details, and communicate with students. A user-centered approach was used throughout the development process to ensure that the app meets the needs and expectations of its intended users. The report also discusses the difficulties encountered during development, such as ensuring data privacy and security, as well as the steps taken to address these difficulties. Overall, the hostel accommodation app represents a significant advancement in the hostel business by making onboarding and managing accommodations more convenient and efficient. The report concludes with recommendations for future app improvements and development.
