dc.description.abstractThis report explores the concept of innovation in the field of education, with a specific focus on higher education institutions (HEIs). It examines the existing literature on innovation and its definitions, highlighting the challenges associated with measuring innovation in the education sector. The report emphasizes the importance of innovation in HEIs and the need for comprehensive frameworks to assess and monitor innovation performance. It also discusses various approaches and methodologies for measuring innovation in education, drawing insights from international initiatives and case studies. Based on the analysis, the report proposes a comprehensive mapping framework consisting of five dimensions to measure innovation in HEIs. The framework encompasses curriculum innovation, research innovation, third mission innovation, process innovation, and organizational innovation. It concludes by emphasizing the significance of measuring innovation in HEIs to enhance their competitiveness and effectiveness in the evolving higher education landscape.en_US
