dc.description.abstractWith moving forward in solving the problems regarding climate change, energy deficiency, and energy availability for all, we are moving rapidly towards renewable energy sources, distribution generations, and decentralized generation. All the load demands are met by these distribution generation units, also known as DGs. The benefit of DGs is they can provide power to local demand and universal demand. This is possible by operating in an isolated mode, also known as islanded mode and a grid-connected mode, where it can act as both load and supply to the main grid during need and surplus of power, respectively Islanded mode of operation is significant for meeting global goals like SDG7 and providing energy to energy-deficient areas which are debarred due to unavailability of main grid to that areas due to either absence of main grid in area or fault of networks or otherwise Not only does it provide power to debarred areas, but it also acts as backup or alternative to main grid power for loads that are critical such as emergency wards of a hospital or essential loads of industry This dissertation has been created to offer a power controller that controls the profile of voltage and frequency in an islanded mode of operation of a microgrids The control scheme includes inner current control and outer voltage control loops and the droop control strategy, also called primary control and secondary control strategy. The stable value of frequency achieved by the controller along with real power-sharing by primary control and secondary control, ensure it stabilizes to the nominal value, which is desired value in islanded modeen_US
