| dc.description.abstract | The Pisum sativum (Garden pea) is one of the most widely grown crops. The crop is rich in protein and hence are important part of the world legume crops. However, being sessile they are prone to abiotic as well as biotic stress. Due to climate change or global warming, heat stress is the major abiotic stress. Heat shock proteins are molecular chaperons that exist extensively in plants and greatly contribute to their survival under the heat stress. The heat shock factors are transcriptional regulators of these Hsps. The HSFs have been divided into three conserved classes A, B and C. The role and function of Class C Hsfs are not well-documented. The objective of this study is to find the role of HsfC in heat tolerance of pea plant by using a novel heat shock factor, HsfC isolated from Pisum sativum (Garden pea). In present study we will perform expression analysis of HsfC in different heat stress conditions and PCR or TA cloning of HsfC gene by using pGEM-T easy vector. | en_US |
